01 · The short version
I'm a product design leader with 19+ years of experience designing and scaling digital products across SaaS, data platforms, and multi-sided systems. I've led end-to-end product design — from discovery and UX strategy to delivery — across web and mobile applications.
Most of my recent work comes through Toptal and independent consultancy, delivering complex platforms including social products, logistics systems, and legal SaaS tools. I combine strong product thinking with hands-on execution, design systems, and cross-functional leadership.
Outside of work I'm usually hiking in Fruška Gora, cooking something slow, or pretending the next product launch is going to be on time.
02 · How I work
Every engagement looks a little different — the process below is a scaffold, not a ritual. I adjust the depth of each phase based on budget, team, and the maturity of the product.
Stakeholder interviews, product audit, competitive scan. I come in with questions, not opinions, and I leave with a one-pager describing what the product is actually trying to do.
Jobs-to-be-done, prioritized flows, and a first-pass information architecture. This is the phase where we commit to what we're building before anyone opens a design file.
High-fidelity design paired with a lightweight design system. We prototype the critical paths, validate with real users or stakeholders, and iterate in tight loops.
Clean specs, a shared library, and engineering pairing. I stay close through implementation — decisions are cheaper in Figma than in production, but production is where they matter.
Documentation, component governance, and onboarding for the next designer. Good systems outlast the person who designed them.

Two models — embedded design lead (3–6 months, weekly cadence with your product and engineering teams) or a focused discovery / redesign sprint (6–10 weeks, fixed scope). I'll recommend which fits your situation after a first call.
Both. For larger engagements I bring in vetted designers from my network and run the team myself. For smaller scopes it's just me.

Yes — extending an existing system is often more valuable than building a new one. I'll audit what you have, document the gaps, and extend it without breaking what works.
Usually a monthly retainer or a fixed-scope engagement with milestone billing. I don't do hourly — it creates the wrong incentives for design work.
Novi Sad, Serbia (CET). I've worked with teams from SF to Sydney, so I'm comfortable with significant timezone spread.
